Worker killed
A jute mill worker succumbed to his stab injuries yesterday morning after fighting seven days for life at Dhaka Medical College Hospital in the city.
The deceased was identified as Liton Miah, 30, a worker of Latif Bawany Jute Mills at Demra.
His friend Nuruzzaman Manik told reporters that five to six youths, including Liton's brother-in-law Sajal, took him to an open space and stabbed him in his abdomen and back while he was taking tea at a stall near the jute mills on October 22 evening.
