Trader stabbed, mugged in city
A fish trader was stabbed and mugged by unidentified miscreants at Kutubkhali in the city's Jatrabari yesterday.
The injured Hafizur Rahman, 35, is a fish trader of Shanir Akhra Bazar and a resident of the area.
Some three to four muggers stopped Hafizur on the rickshaw at Kutubkhali and tried to snatch his money when he was on the way to the wholesale fish market around 5:30am, Hafizur told reporters at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
When he tried to resist, one of the muggers stabbed him in the abdomen and looted Tk 15,000 from him, he said.
