Iqbal Ansari's anniversary of death today

Today is the 12th death anniversary of Iqbal Ansari Khan Henri, a freedom fighter, rotarian and social worker, says a press release. His father Ali Amjad Khan was a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and mother Anwara Khatun was a member of East Bengal Legislative Assembly. Henri was actively involved in the Language Movement. He was a joint secretary of the National Democratic Front that opposed Ayub Khan's regime and vice-president of Jagannath College and Dhaka College Students' Union. He authored three books, two of which are the Third Eye and The Babri Mosque, and the third one is a book of jokes. Relatives, friends and well-wishers are requested to pray for salvation of the departed soul.
