551 Yaba tablets seized in Ctg
Members of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested two drug peddlers along with 551 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Tk 2,20,400 in different drives in the port city on Monday night.
The arrestees were Md Yusuf, 38, son of Abdul Kuddus Sawdagar of Cox's Bazar and Yusuf, 42, son of late Emdadul Hoque of Korbaniganj under Kotwali Police Station in the city.
Acting on tip-off, members of Rab-7 conducted a drive in front of Maisha Furniture Mart at Ice Factory Road under Kotwali Police Station at about 10:25pm and arrested Md Yusuf who was caught red-handed with 500 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Tk 2,00,000, says a press release of Rab-7.
In another drive, Rab personnel arrested Yusuf with 51 pieces of Yaba tablets worth about Tk 20,400 from the eastern bank of Baluar Dighi under Kotwali Police Station in the same night around 11:40pm.
