Today is the 23rd death anniversary of Father Charles J Young, founder of the Cooperative Credit Union Movement in Bangladesh. He was killed in a road mishap on November 14, 1988 in front of the Jatiya Press Club, says a press release. He was born in 1904 in USA and ordained priest in 1933. Father Young was assigned to do missionary work for Christian Parishes of Dhaka and greater Mymensingh. Member organisations of the Cooperative Credit Union League of Bangladesh Ltd will pay homage to the memory of late Father by organising different programmes.
