2 crushed to death under train wheels
A woman and a minor boy were crushed under train wheels in separate incidents at Khilgaon in the city on Wednesday.
The deceased were Fatema Begum, 55, and an unidentified boy aged about 13 years.
Government Railway Police (GRP) sent the bodies yesterday to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy. Kamalapur GRP said Fatema was a domestic help who resided at Khilgaon.
While walking by Khilgaon rail crossing around 8:00pm, she stumbled on the rail tracks and fell victim to the Kamalapur-bound train, said witnesses.
Meanwhile around 8:30pm, an unidentified boy wearing pants and T-shirt, while climbing to the roof of a Mymensingh-bound train, fell down at Khilgaon Bagicha and was crushed to death under the train wheels, said witnesses.
