<i>Twins abandoned in DMCH </i>
Two premature babies were found lying abandoned, wrapped in separate lungis, on a corridor of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 1:30pm yesterday.
Not finding their guardians, the staff admitted the babies to the hospital's Baby Special Care Unit (SCU).
Hospital staff assumes that the babies were born sometime in the early hours yesterday.
A doctor of SCU said the babies were born premature within 32 to 33 weeks of conception, one weighing 1.2 kg and the other 1.3 kg, and were suffering from respiratory problems.
DMCH authorities filed a general diary with Shahbagh Police Station in this regard.
