One of the abandoned twins dies
One of the premature twins, who were found lying abandoned on a corridor of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday, died early yesterday.
DMCH sources said the two babies were suffering from respiratory problems and one of them died around 2:00am.
Police sent the body to the DMC morgue for autopsy.
Earlier, the hospital staff admitted the babies to the Baby Special Care Unit (SCU) not finding their guardians.
A SCU doctor said the babies were born premature within 32 to 33 weeks of conception, one weighing 1.2 kg and the other 1.3 kg.
