Motorcade of ex-BNP MP under attack
Motorcade of former BNP lawmaker Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto came under attack allegedly by some BCL cadres on Barisal-Kuakata Highway at Shimultola in Nalcity upazila yesterday afternoon.
"When our motorcade reached the area around 1:10pm, some BCL cadres barred and launched attack on us," she said.
She further said the attackers damaged two microbuses; beat four party leaders and snatched money and mobile phone sets from them.
Syed Hadisur Rahman, president of Jhalakathi district BCL unit, denied the involvement in such attack rather claimed that it was occurred due to internal feud of local BNP.
