DoE shuts brick kiln
Department of Environment (DoE) yesterday shut down a brick kiln at Ambag of Konabari in Gazipur on charge of violating its earlier order.
A team comprising DoE officials, law enforcers and fire brigade personnel conducted the drive at Ma Bricks, says a press release.
They had fined the brick kiln Tk 7 lakh on November 14 for polluting environment and directed the authorities to remove it within November 30.
