Professionals' grand rally today
The grand rally and convention of Peshajibi Samonnoy Parishad, a platform of 12 professional bodies, will be held at Bangabandhu International Convention Centre at 10:00am today.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to address the function as the chief guest. The leaders of different professional groups including lawyers, physicians, journalists, agriculturists, economists and teachers will also speak at the rally.
The Parishad is holding the rally with a call to complete the trial of the war criminals, meeting the demands of the professionals and implementing the vision-2021 aimed at building a democratic, secular and digital Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said the convention is going to be held at an important time when a political force has taken a position in favour of the war criminals.
