Woman, girl murdered

Two persons including a teenage girl were killed in separate incidents in the city yesterday. Mohammadpur police recovered the body of a woman, Monwara Begum, 35, from her residence at West Katasur around 10:00am. Quoting Monwara's son Ibrahim, police said her husband Syeed stabbed her twice following a family feud. In another incident, police recovered the body of a 16-year-old unidentified girl in front of Green Super Market wrapped with a sack around 10:30pm. The back of the girl's head bore a mark of injury, said Abu Zafar, sub-inspector of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station. Criminals might have killed the girl hours before the body was recovered, said Zafar.
