Koica project inaugurated in city
Korea International Cooperation Agency (Koica) and Department of Social Service (DSS) inaugurated a small-scale development project at Tejgaon Sharkari Shishu Paribar in Dhaka yesterday.
Ambassador of Korea to Bangladesh Cho Tai Young, Resident Representative of KOICA Bangladesh office Lee Jung Wook, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare Md Hossain Mollah, Director General of Department of Social Service Md Mahfuzul Haque and KOICA volunteers were present on the occasion.
One of the objectives of this project is to improve the standard of the children's life in Sharkari Shishu Paribar as well as to ensure their good physical and mental health, said a press release.
Considering this, Koica funded to establish a children park inside the Sharkari Shishu Paribar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Korean ambassador said the children were the national assets and potential future leaders, so they should prepare themselves in the best possible ways.
