Comilla city poll schedule likely today
The Election Commission (EC) will today announce the schedule for Comilla City Corporation election likely to be held in January next year.
“All complications regarding the polls have been resolved. We will announce the election schedule tomorrow (Tuesday) morning,” Election Commissioner Sohul Hussein told reporters after an EC meeting yesterday.
Officials said the EC has decided to use Electronic Voting Machines in all 27 wards of the city corporation.
This might be the last election conducted by the current EC as its tenure will expire in February next year.
Comilla City Corporation has 1.69 lakh voters including 86,074 female ones.
