Egyptian envoy meets PM
Egyptian Ambassador to Bangladesh Mahmoud Yehia Mohamed Ezzat Mostafa paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in the city yesterday.
After the meeting, Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Abul Kalam Azad briefed the journalists.
He said various issues of bilateral interests, including expansion of trade and business, came up at the meeting for discussion.
The Egyptian envoy praised the founding leader of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and praised strong democracy as well as freedom of speech in Bangladesh.
Ambassador at-large M Ziauddin was present.
