Timbers worth Tk 5 lakh seized
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and forest department, in a drive, seized Segun timbers (teak trees) worth about Tk 5 lakh in Kalurghat BSCIC industrial area of the port city yesterday.
The team, accompanied by Assistant Forest Conservator Md Yusuf, seized 323.36 cubic feet Segun timbers from an abandoned factory in the area, said a press release of Rab-7.
