Five shops fined in Keraniganj
Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection fined five sweetmeats and bakery shops Tk 90,000 at different parts in Keraniganj on the outskirts of the city yesterday, said a press release.
A team led by deputy director of the directorate, ABM Badiuzzaman fined Alauddin Sweetmeat Tk 10,000, Ruhitpur sweetmeat Tk 20,000, Masum Bakery factory Tk 20,000 and two shops of Adi Banoful Tk 30,000 and Tk 10,000 on charge of violating the Consumer Rights Protection Act-2009.
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) and police assisted during the drive.
