Students of Premier University, Chittagong vandalised around 26 vehicles parked on the ground floor garage of its building at Dampara area near Wasa intersection in Chittagong city yesterday over a fire incident. The students claimed that they put out a fire on a CNG-run water tanker of Chittagong City Corporation (CCC) parked in the garage around 2:45pm yesterday. The vandalism then began within 15 minutes, said witnesses. CCC, which established and runs the university, parks its vehicles on the garage of the 7-storied building where the university's Faculty of Business Studies is situated. One student, requesting anonymity, said the outburst came as CCC turned a blind eye to their repeated requests to replace the garage with a canteen and library.
