Road crashes kill 3
Three people were killed and another injured in road accidents in Habiganj, Naogaon and Satkhira early Thursday and yesterday.
Staff correspondent from Sylhet reports: A motorcyclist Muhibur Rahman, 26, of Baniachang upazila, was left dead on the spot and another injured when a microbus hit the bike on Dhaka-Sylhet Highway at Aushkandi under Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj yesterday afternoon.
The injured Luthfur Rahman, 25, was admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
Our Chapainawabganj correspondent adds: Saiful Islam, 38, son of Lokhin Uddin Sardar, of Naogaon sadar, was killed as a tractor crushed him after he fell onto the road from the vehicle in Manda Ferry Ghat area of Manda upazila in Naogaon yesterday morning.
In Satkhira, an engine-run van knocked down an 85-year-old man Fatik Gazi, of Shyamnagar upazila, leaving him seriously injured on Munshiganj-Bhekhali road at Sonar intersection in the upazila around 06:15pm on Thursday evening.
He succumbed to his injuries at Sadar Hospital.
