IUB economic assembly held
The Independent Economic Society of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organised a day-long programme titled "Annual Independent Economic Assembly 2011" on its Bashundhara campus in the city on Thursday.
Five private universities--AIUB, Brac, IUB, NSU and UIU took part in the event. Prof AK Monaw-war Uddin Ahmed, head, the department of Economics, IUB and Prof Nadim Jahangir, director, the school of business, IUB, delivered the welcome speech, said a press release
The assembly concluded with an award-giving ceremony.
IUB Vice Chancellor (in charge) Prof M Omar Rahman was present as the chief guest.
