Quick war crimes trial demanded
Speakers, at a rally on Tuesday, urged the government to quickly complete the trial of the war criminals who were involved in committing crimes against humanity during the War of Liberation in 1971.
A human chain followed by the rally was organised by Bangladesh Chhatra Moitri Chittagong district unit on the Shahid Minar premises in the port city to mark its 31st anniversary.
Speakers urged the progressive student and youth organisations to stand united against conspiracies by cohorts both home and abroad to save the war criminals.
Chhatra Moitri district unit President Faruque Ahmed Rubel presided over the programme while its General Secretary Ashish Bhaumik, former president Kaiser Alam, and former general secretary Md Khokan Miyan also spoke among others.
