Rab recover drugs, liquor, cash in Ctg drives
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) recovered drugs and liqour worth around Tk 14 lakh and Tk 5.8 lakh in cash in separate drives at Cox's Bazar and Chittagong in the last two days.
Rab men also arrested an alleged drug peddler named Mohammad Hossain, 40, son of Nur Hossain of Teknaf in Cox's Bazar.
On information, a Rab-7 team conducted a drive in a jetty ghat area of Patenga in the port city yesterday and recovered 2,400 cans of beer worth around Tk 6 in an abandoned condition from an engine-run boat there, said a press release of Rab-7.
In another drive on Tuesday, Rab-7 men caught Mohammad Hossain along with 2,000 pieces of yaba tablets, worth around Tk 8 lakh, from his house at College Para under Teknaf in Cox's Bazar.
Rab men also seized Tk 5.8 lakh cash from his possession.
