Cop-requisitioned bus rams rickshaws
At least eight people were injured as the driver of a bus requisitioned by police lost control over the steering and rammed through several rickshaws in the city's Moghbazar Dilu Road area yesterday.
Sub-Inspector Shafiul Alam of Ramna Police Station said the bus was going to Moghbazar from Bangla Motor and was supposed to transport policemen from Razarbagh Police Lines.
Six rickshaws were damaged and the injured, including rickshaw pullers, its passengers and pedestrians, were provided treatment at a local hospital, he added.
