Bangladesh Festival in Kolkata Dec 16
A five-day Bangladesh Festival will begin in Kolkata, the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal, on December 16 to celebrate 40 years of the Independence of Bangladesh.
Singers Farida Parveen, Khayrul Aanam Shakeel, Fahmida Nabi and Ayub Bachchu and his band LRB from Dhaka will perform in the festival, official sources said.
About 30 stalls will be at the festival, where Bangladeshi saris, handicrafts and also Hilsa fish will be available.
