Verdict in journo Balu murder case today
A Khulna Speedy Trial Tribunal will today deliver verdict in journalist Humayun Kabir Balu murder case. Balu, a freedom fighter and editor of Dainik Janmabhumi published from Khulna, was killed in a bomb attack by extremists on June 27 in 2004 in front of his office-cum-residence on Haji Ismail Road in Khulna city. SI Maruf Hossain filed two cases with Khulna Sadar Police Station -- one for murder and another under Explosive Substances Act.
