NID card being given in Pabna
Two hundred voters of ward No 7 of Pabna municipality area received national identity cards as the programme started in a function held at Pabna Sadar upazila auditorium at about 11:00am yesterday.
Brigadier Choudhuri Hassan Sarwardi, chief guest of the programme, distributed the NID cards among the people.
Pabna Deputy Commissioner Md Golam Moula chaired the function while Pabna Army camp commander AKM Saiful Islam, Pabna Superintendent of Police AFM Masum Rabbani, Pabna Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Abdul Hakim, District Election Officer Md Faridul Islam were present in the programme, among others.
Gradually the cards would be distributed among other places, District Election Office sources said.
