You are the theme of my dream......
Now that the evening bell tolls in my life
At these late hours appeared this strange dream
It came with a light that never shone on me before
And changed my world with a wonderful theme I drifted through long days, weeks and years
And thought life had somehow become tame
Until one day the dormant feeling wakes up
And makes me realise 'Love' is its name I thought love was only true in fairy tales
Or, for those created only on Sundays
Never before did I feel the way I do now
As if I see a new sun with all its lovely rays Now I long for the dream to stay forever
And I am ready to pay the high price
Whatever to make this dream come true
Because I know we never live twice My ageing coyness also did not succeed
In affirming the reality and thus reveal
That You are the one I have been waiting for
And all other attractions are just unreal You are my sunshine after long years of darkness
You make me happy when the sky is grey
You will never fathom how much I love You
God, please don't take my sunshine away There will be no strings to bind You
Not if my love can't bind your heart
And there is no need to take a stand
For it was I who chose to start What else is there to wish for?
When my longings keep circling around You
What will I do with this entire universe
When my world seems to be just You? My earthly treasures though small
I am ready to lose it all tomorrow
But if I should ever lose You, my dear
I'll be buried down, in bottomless sorrow All the happiness I had yearned for
I found them in your 'deep sea' eyes
You are the theme of my lovely dream
Let me just cherish my well deserved prize It doesn't matter at all, if my days are counted
I want to live each moment of this heavenly joy
I know it is only You who made this happen
My immortal beloved, my darling 'Dream Boy'!
