Shahara's comment proves govt's failure: BNP
Home minister's suggestion that residents of Dhaka should lock their houses during the Eid holiday shows that the government has failed to mainatin law and order, BNP leader Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain said yesterday.
Khandaker was addressing a programme styled “Terrorism and Corruption in the Educational Institutions: Our Responsibility”, organised by Creative Development Programme (CDP) in the capital. People have become afraid because of the minister's comments, he said, adding that those who make such irresponsible remarks should be punished.
Home Minister Shahara Khatun on Wednesday said although the government has been taking security measures, Dhaka city residents should lock their houses before going on Eid holiday.
