Infants in Bangladesh suffer from malnutrition for lack of breastfeeding and complementary feeding as most mothers are uneducated, said experts yesterday. Inappropriate feeding of infants and young children is one reason behind South Asia having the world's highest number of undernourished children, with almost 40 to 50 percent of the under-fives being wasted, stunted and underweight, they observed.
