Journalist Nirmal Sen honoured
Barisal Reporters Unity (BRU) honoured eminent journalist Nirmal Sen with crest and financial grants for his outstanding contribution in pro-people journalism in the country.
The BRU arranged a reception programme on its 13th annual general meeting at the 'Proposed Nirmal Sen Mohila College' premises in Kotalipara upazila in Gopalganj on Saturday.
In his written statement, Nirmal Sen called for freedom of press and punishment of the killers and attackers on journalists in the country.
Kotalipara Press Club President Mizanur Rahman Bulu read out the signed statement of Nirmal Sen, who is suffering from old age complications, in reply of the reception.
