Man drowns in water tank
A man drowned in an underground water tank in Lalbagh area of the capital yesterday afternoon.
The victim Jabbar Ali, 40, was a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver, hailing from Madaripur.
Sources said Jabbar downed in the tank at Shaheed Nagar while taking a bath in it around 2:30pm.
Two divers from Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters recovered the body about 3:10pm, said Sanowar Hossain, station officer of the headquarters.
