Boy dies falling from train roof
An unidentified boy was killed as he fell down from the roof of a train in the capital's Nakhalpara area yesterday.
The boy, aged around 10 years, was in jeans pants, locals and Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) sources said.
Jobairul Islam Arif, a college student, told The Daily Star that he saw the boy, after falling from the rooftop of a Tejgaon station bound train around 10:00am, was injured critically.
Later he, along with the locals, took the injured to Mohakhali Metropolitan Hospital from where he was shifted to the DMCH where the boy succumbed to his injuries around 3:30pm.
Kamalapur Government Railway Police said they heard the incident but could not say anything about it.
No case was filed till yesterday evening.
