VoIP equipment seized
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) seized VoIP equipment worth around Tk 1 crore and arrested a youth in this connection in Khasdobir area of the city Wednesday evening.
The arrestee Ziaul Haque, 20, hailing from Fulbaria of Mymensingh, used to work in a firm, Sagorika Enterprise.
On information, the Rab seized the VoIP equipment and arrested him from a house in the area. However, two main suspects in the illegal business, managed to escape.
Rab said a gang, led by Azmal and Sohel in the city's Shahi Eidgah area, has been running the illegal business in the name of the firm for long.
