Fisherman killed by tiger

A fisherman was killed by a Bengal tiger in the west of the Sundarbans on Thursday. The deceased is Rustom Gazi, 38, son of Kashem Gazi of Nalian village in Dakop upazila of Khulna district. Forest official said Rustom was fishing in Hatdabra canal near Shibsa river around 6:00am when the tiger attacked, dragging him deep into the forest. Fellow fishermen later found remains of the decomposed body and handed it over to his family.
