CU shuttle train engine derails
The engine of one of the two shuttle trains of Chittagong University, pulling nine coaches, derailed at Oxygen Gate area, between Chittagong Cantonment and Sholoshahar Railway Station, around 5:30pm yesterday.
No student present in the train was injured.
A relief train has reached the spot, said stationmaster of the railway station, SM Fakhrul Alam Parvez, around 7:00pm. He, however, could not estimate the time needed to get the route operational.
