Worker dies in Ctg wall collapse
A construction worker was killed and two others were injured as a boundary wall collapsed on them in Halishahar area in Chittagong yesterday.
The deceased was Md Jalil, 45, while the injured were Md Manik, 25, and Md Roman, 20.
Md Rubel, a co-worker of the victims, said a boundary wall suddenly collapsed when they were digging soil out from the wall of Begumjan Government Primary School around 10:30am.
Critically injured Jalil and Manik were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared Jalil dead, he said.
Anil Kanti Das, a constable at CMCH police outpost, confirmed the incident.
