Electoral symbols allocated
The Election Commission (EC) yesterday distributed electoral symbols among the three candidates for Tangail-3 (Ghatail) by election slated for November 18.
Returning Officer Syed Khurshid Anwar distributed the symbols at deputy commissioner's hall room at noon.
Among the candidates, Awami League (AL) backed Shahidul Islam Lebu got boat, Jatiya Party (Ershad) backed Syed Yousuf Abdullah Tuhin got plough and Independent (rebel AL) candidate Amanur Rahman Khan Rana got pineapple symbols.
