As a part of its countrywide programme, BNP-led 18-party alliance yesterday formed a human wall in Chittagong city, protesting the "forced disappearances" of its leaders and activists and the killing of Bishwajit Das. They formed the human wall from the city's Patenga intersection to Karnaphuli Bridge intersection from 11:00am till noon, causing traffic jams on many roads and suffering to commuters and city dwellers. Besides, Jamaat-e-Islami, one of the key partners of the alliance, participated in the programme, demanding release of the party's top leaders facing war crimes trial.
