Khulna book traders' indefinite strike starts

A Correspondent, Khulna
The book traders and publishers in Khulna district enforced an indefinite strike yesterday protesting the imprisonment of a book seller and burning "creative books" by a mobile court. The protesters staged a rally in the afternoon in the city's KD Ghosh Road area demanding immediate release of the book seller, Sowkat Hossain. On Tuesday, Dilruba Sharmin, executive magistrate of a mobile court, sentenced Sowkat, an employee of Noor Library in the city, to one month imprisonment and seized a huge number of guide books from the shop.
