Liquor worth 'Tk 1cr' seized in Ctg
A huge amount of liquor worth "around Tk 1 crore" was seized in Anwara upazila of Chittagong yesterday, said Coast Guard.
On information, a team from the coast guard (East Zone), conducted a drive at Notun Rastar Khal in the upazila and seized 1,200 cans of beer and 600 bottles of black label whiskey from an abandoned boat at around 2:30pm, said Lt Commander Mamunur Rashid.
The liquor peddlers fled upon sensing the presence of Coast Guard personnel, he added.
