Sgt Zahurul Haque's death anniversary today
Today is the 44th death anniversary of Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque. On the occasion, different organisations and his family members will place floral wreaths at his grave in the morning, says a press release. Besides, Liberation War Museum and his family have jointly organised a painting competition for children on its premises at 10:00am today. Zahurul, an accused of Agartala conspiracy case, was killed by Pakistan military in 1969. Following the killing, the movement demanding unconditional release of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other arrestees in the case got a momentum.
