2 JCD activists injured in BCL attack at JU
Two activists of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) were injured in an attack by activists of the JU unit of Bangdesh Chhatra League (BCL) on the campus yesterday.
A group of pro-Awami League BCL activists chased some pro-BNP JCD activists and forced them out of the campus when they went to pay tribute to language martyrs at the JU Central Shaheed Minar around 12:30am.
JCD activists Khaled Syfulla of Geological Science and Md Mohiuddin of Law departments were injured in the incident.
With injuries in their heads and legs, they were admitted to Enam Medical College and Hospital in Savar.
JU unit of JCD President Md Jakir Hossain claimed that they went to the Shaheed Minar upon assurance of ensuring security from the JU vice-chancellor and proctor.
