Islamia Eye Hospital gets new OT

Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art, 15,000 square feet operation theatre yesterday. Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Shiro Sadoshima, inaugurated the Central Sterilisation Department of the operating theatre. The Japanese government has provided a grant for world-class equipment for sterilising surgical instruments used in the non-profit hospital. Sir Fazle Hasan Abed said the hospital has been contributing to strengthening the eye care sector in Bangladesh. Chairman of the Management Committee, M Ali Behrouze Ispahani, Dr Steven Roy, Chief Executive Officer, and Dr Md Alamgir Hossain, Management Consultant, also addressed the inaugural ceremony.
