Dr Ahmed Sharif's death anniversary today
Today is the 14th death anniversary of Dr Ahmed Sharif, a renowned scholar, researcher on Bangla literature and a forerunner of free thought movement, said a press release. On the occasion, Swadesh Chinta Shangha has arranged for Dr Ahmed Sharif commemoration lecture and award giving ceremony in the business studies faculty auditorium of Dhaka University at 4:00pm today. Former coordinator of mass culture and renowned writer Mohosin Shostropani will deliver the commemoration lecture. Primary political organiser of a labour group Mubinul Haider Chowdhury and leading theatre and cultural personality Mamunur Rashid will be honoured at the programme.
