The world's biggest sporting extravaganza, the Olympics, have begun in Beijing. The participating countries have sent their trained-up teams to the venue with a firm conviction to excel in different disciplines of sports. The big names are: The USA, Russia, Germany and the host China. It is indeed a matter of great pride for a country to hold an event of this stature. It is indeed a big challenge for any Asian country to hold such a giant feast of sports! China has by now fulfilled all the norms and requirements in this regard. A fitting accommodation arrangement for the thousands of sporting individuals along with their coaches, physicians and other attending people has been guaranteed. China has taken huge preparations hundreds of five star hotels and motels have been built. Interestingly, China being a country with its own brand of communism has put some embargo upon open Internet support for the sports journalists. We wish the Olympics 2008 a grand success.
