Fake rating?

The financial debacle across the globe rendered many top rated business houses helpless. They suddenly felt the jolt of the crisis unprepared and never anticipated such a catastrophe. What has made the top brass of these conglomerates complacent about the health of their companies? One clue might be the rating awarded by the so-called world-class credit rating agencies. They were rated highly despite having toxic assets. So, the trillion-dollar question is were these agencies bribed or managed to rate that way? Investigation is indeed needed to find out what really happened.
