Battery-run rickshaws
Battery-powered rickshaws have added a new dimension to our transport system. But they pose a serious threat to the unwary pedestrians who may miscalculate the speed of the on-coming vehicle. As the body of this rickshaw is made of iron, any collision might result in serious injury. It has also been alleged that many such rickshaws have their motors recharged from illegal electricity connections.
Despite these negative sides, these vehicles have made the job of rickshaw pulling all the more easier, as it is no longer dependent on manual labour.
