He was arrested Thursday night in front of Nasim Hair Dresser on Thana Road under Godagari Police Station in Rajshahi, where he was in hiding.

The arrest was confirmed in a press release signed by Additional Superintendent of Police Sudipta Sarkar, company commander of Rab-12’s Kushtia camp.

With this arrest, four suspects -- including two local men and a student of class ten -- have now been arrested in connection with Shamim’s killing.

On April 11, Shamim was beaten and hacked to death by a mob at his darbar in Philipnagar over allegations of hurting religious sentiments. The darbar was vandalised and set on fire during the attack.
