Govt reappoints cabinet, public admin secretaries for a year

The government has reappointed Cabinet Secretary Nasimul Ghani and Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md Ehsanul Hoque on a contractual basis for another year.

The Ministry of Public Administration today issued two separate notifications in this regard.

The cabinet secretary is the highest post in the administration, followed by the public administration secretary, which is considered the second most important position. Both are officers of the 1982 (regular) batch of the administration.

According to the notifications, they have been reappointed to their respective posts in continuation of their previous contracts, on condition that they sever working relations with all other professions as well as government, semi-government, and private organisations.
