Kader Gani Chowdhury appointed BSS MD and chief editor

Journalist Muhammad Kader Gani Chowdhury has been appointed managing director and chief editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) on a contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification to this effect today.

According to the notification, Kader was appointed under Section 10(1) of the Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Act, 2018, subject to relinquishing any other profession, business or employment with government, semi-government or private institutions or organisations.

His tenure will be one year from the date he joins the state-run news agency.

The notification, signed by Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Golam Rabban, said other terms and conditions of his appointment would be determined through a contract.
